Fly By

The last few weeks have given new meaning to the phrase "flying by on the seat of your pants".

I've picked up a lace bug and knit these:

Swallowtail Shawl from IK.

I've frogged and made progress on Autumn Rose:

I flexed my first-time quilter's muscle to make a baby blanket for a close friend.

Finished the Ice Cream Socks (Cat Bordhi's Cedar Master Pattern)

I've gone to Hawaii to see sand, lava, and sunsets.

Made it back from Las Vegas (sorry no photos of that one).

Finished my original contract at work and received an extension.

Packed my bags for Italy.

Oh wow, you've been quite the busy knitter! I love the Swallowtail shawl, that's definitely on my "to knit" list. And one of these days I'll make it back to Hawaii. (Not sure I'll go to Vegas again, though, too much smoke in the air for me.) Hope you had fun!

Busy girl! Sounds like you're having fun though and I'm glad to hear that articling position paid off.

Where are you going to be in Italy? Let me know if you get into the Alps and feel like slipping across the border.

Have fun!
